The Story Only Happens In One Name

In Episode 35 of First Love, “The Story Only Happens In One Name,” Dr. Robyn Kassas and Dr. Nathan Kassas take you deeper into the revelation that last week unlocked: transformation isn’t a process you manage, it’s Someone you encounter—and His name is Jesus. This week, they go further and declare that God’s story for your life only truly unfolds under one governing authority, one voice, and one banner: the name of Jesus. In a culture that loves “God talk,” spiritual principles, and even the language of the Holy Spirit, this episode confronts a crucial deficit in the Church’s heart—knowing Jesus not just as a role or a title, but as the fully God, fully man Person who lived the human experience to its depths. Dr. Robyn and Dr. Nathan show how many believers are comfortable with God as a distant sovereign or the Spirit as pure power, yet resist really relating to Jesus in His humanity, where He can actually be trusted with our pain, our process, and our authority. Drawing from Scripture and the story of Jesus’ temptation, they expose how the enemy always targets one thing: the right to author your story. Even though Jesus held all authority as the Word who created and sustains all things, He refused to pull on that authority for Himself. In love, He continually yielded it back to His Father, proving that true authority is only entrusted to those who will surrender it. You’ll hear how Jesus faced pressure, temptation, and the “worst-case” scenarios not as a distant deity, but as a man who chose the Father’s will, so that when He gave His authority to you, it would be authority anchored in love, not control. This episode reveals that you don’t transform by trying to hold your life together from the bottom up. When you insist on being the author of your own story—interpreting God’s voice on your terms, keeping the final say over your heart—you end up misusing the authority you’ve been given and wonder why there is so little real change. But when you yield your narrative back to the One the Father trusts—the Son who never used His power outside of love—you step into top-down living, where presence, power, and authority move as one in His name. You’ll be challenged to stop relating to “roles” and start relating to a Person; to stop treating the name of Jesus as a formula tagged onto prayers and begin to see it as the only atmosphere where God’s story, God’s power, and God’s love actually flow. In that one name, authority is not control but alignment. It is the gravitational center that holds your heart, your identity, and your destiny together. Journey with Dr. Robyn and Dr. Nathan as they call you to return to your First Love—not as a vague, sentimental devotion, but as a fierce, focused allegiance to the Person of Jesus and His name alone. In yielding your authorship to Him, you don’t lose yourself; you awaken to who you were always written to be, moving beyond immature infatuation into mature love that trusts His authority, carries His presence, and lives fully inside the story that only happens in His name.
